  • Friday from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
  • Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
     with approx. 1 hr. lunch. (Bring you own sack lunch)

WHAT/WHEN/WHERE:

An intimate 1.5 day (8 hr.) watercolor workshop at my Studio in Viola, Idaho. This may be the only one I do this year. Beginners Welcome. Two Hours on Friday night 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Devoted to beginners with mostly lecture. Six hours on Sat. (9 a.m.-4 p.m. w/hr. lunch break). We will be a painting a picture together. There is only room for 8 students. The registration will show "SOLD OUT" when full. If interested in  Future workshops, email me (here) and let me know your interested! WHAT I WILL COVER:

I am structuring the course to teach beginners and people with some experience.  I will teach you what I have learned in my 30 years of painting and show you how to paint like I do. There will be demonstrations of my expert tips, tricks, techniques, and methods I use. We will cover mostly methods, technique, and various ways of how to put paint on paper, some discussion of color, value, light, design, and what makes a good painting. I work mostly from photographs and I will show you how that is done. We will work on a few exercises and then paint a watercolor painting together.


WHAT TO BRING/SUPPLIES:

I will get back to those who register with a supply list and what to bring/buy. Plan $80 - $100 for supplies (mostly brushes and paint) if you do not have any yet. I will provide some paint colors if you are short on a color or two. Also bring a sack lunch.
