Fishing with Dad (commission)
In this commission, the client wanted me to paint a watercolor of her son fishing with his dad who had passed away. She only had 3 photos, two of the sons boat that he loved to fish in and a photo of the family for me to see the likeness of the dad. She wanted me to paint them fishing together with the wooden driftboat in the scene as well. I had to develop the scene with more photos and more boat, and get photos of a model in the likeness of the dad to use as reference to design and create the painting.
It all came together in the end and she loved the painting.
